Course Description

In this 3-day course, participants will learn the purpose and benefits to the Blue Yonder Sequencing application, focusing on the Classic Optimizer, typically used in CPG and process manufacturing environments. Students will experience those benefits first-hand as they build a manufacturing model, run the optimizer, and explore schedule solutions in the Schedule Board. Day One of the course gives participants a thorough grounding in the concepts and vocabulary required to work with the Sequencing algorithm. Days two and three are spent working in the tool, exploring each userview, building out critical model components, troubleshooting and tuning the algorithm model, and evaluating the schedule solutions. This course is highly interactive and provides extensive hands-on experience in the Sequencing application. Note that the other Sequencing optimization engine, called the Run Optimizer, is trained in a separate course. Optimizer selection is typically done during the sales cycle, so you should take the Sequencing course that covers the Optimizer that will be used in your environment.
